Russell Wilson’s Jersey On Display

Wisconsin can try to claim him.  When he’s announced on Sunday’s, they can call him a Badger through the PA system all they want.  But you couldn’t convince a soul in Raleigh that Russell Wilson’s blood doesn’t run Wolfpack RED.

In fact, NC State isn’t playing around.  They’re claiming Russell Wilson.  You are officially claimed when your jersey get’s put on a mannequin in the Murphy Center.

The News & Observer’s J.P. Giglio reports that:

Unlike the previously retired numbers, Wilson’s number, and that of defensive end Mario Williams (No. 9), will still be used and will include a “legends patch.” Those numbers are not assigned this season.
