VIDEO: Carlos Rodon Blanks Astros

Carlos Rodon went up against one of the hottest pitchers in all of baseball tonight, Astros Danny Keuchel, and he didn’t disappoint.  The former Wolfpack pitcher left the mound as the victor, and the almost guaranteed American League Astro All-Star took the L.  Rodon pitched his 4th consecutive quality start, giving up no earned runs and striking out five over six innings.  This was the first game that he has started this year in which he didn’t give up a single earned run.  After running his pitch count up to 98 through 5 innings, it showed how much confidence the White Sox have in their rookie, letting him come back out in the 6th, and run his pitch count up to 115.  Rodon now boasts a 2-0 record and a 2.66 ERA.
