NC State Offers Center Jeremiah Tilmon

NC State has been offering scholarships to some of the top players in the 2017 class all week long, and when you add 5-star Center Jeremiah Tilmon to that lot, the caliber of the group only gets better.  According to Scott Burgess, NC State offered Tilmon earlier this week.

Tilmon also holds offers from Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana.

Here is a small write up on Tilmon from 247 writer Andrew Slater:

Jeremiah Tilmon: The local St. Louis star is an excellent rebounder, particularly off of the offensive glass. Tilmon is very strong and has a good frame that enables him to easily withstand contact. For the St. Louis Eagles, he hasn’t quite shown all that he is capable of, but the right-hander for the Eagles has a semblance of a back-to-the-basket game and a soft touch near it. His best low-post move is his drop-step. The East St. Louis native can run the court well, but is most effective in half-court settings where he regularly plays above the rim and where he regularly scores on offensive put-backs. Tilmon has a limited face-up game at this stage. Jeremiah has a prototypical size and an excellent frame for a college five. He is a very good shot-blocker who blocks shots with both hands. Tilmon has above-average basketball IQ for a big at this stage and very good athleticism for his size. While he is very comfortable in his body, he needs to develop his overall offensive skill set, including his low-post moves and developing a semblance of a face-up game, as he prepares for high-major basketball and beyond. Tilmon seems quite coachable and a good teammate
