Hendon Hooker Looking for A Pack Offer

Coach Doeren has been relentless in recruiting the state of North Carolina.  Hendon Hooker, out of Greensboro, is a 3-star Quarterback in the 2017 class that camped at NC State this past week, and is back in Raleigh today for the 7-on-7 tournament.  His hope is that he leaves camp today with an offer in hand from the Wolfpack.
“NC State camp went real well.  I wish I could have thrown more.  My arm was pretty sore from previous camps.  I’ve been going hard all week,” said Hendon.  “I really liked it.  I liked it a lot.  I liked the facilities.  Coach Canada really reached out to me.  We are going to talk more later on this week.  I’m coming to the 7-on-7 tournament on Friday, and we’ll talk things over, and hopefully an offer is coming soon.”
North Carolina A&T was the first school to offer Hendon while he was in the 8th grade.  Since then he has picked up offers from Clemson, Syracuse and most recently East Carolina.  The Clemson Tigers made quite the sales pitch to him.
“The first big offer I received was from Clemson,” said Hooker. “They told me that I would be the face of the program.  The said I was very similar to the quarterbacks they have had their recently, and would like to keep that tradition going.
Academics are a major component of what Hooker is looking for in a school.
“I was talking to the people at NC State about academics, because I’m really looking for a medical program.  They said they can help change their schedules for players with their class schedules,” said Hooker.  “When they get major players to come in, they change their practice schedule to accommodate them.  I really enjoyed talking to him about my future, because I want to be an orthodontist when I finish school.”
Hooker told us that today’s 7-on-7 camp at NC State today would probably wrap up camps for him this summer.
