Maverick Rowan Reclassifies, State in Top 4
This was always a looming possibility, but our source proved to be correct, and 4-Star Small Forward Maverick Rowan has in fact officially confirmed that “he is in the process” of reclassifying.
Maverick Rowan (No. 30 in 2016) tells ESPN he is “in the process” of reclassifying to 2015.

Rowan needed two more classes to graduate, and he is enrolled in those classes now. Back on June 1st Rowan announced a top six, but according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Rowan now is down to an unrevealed 4 schools, and you can bet one of those schools is St. John’s, which he will be visiting tomorrow. This will be his second official visit. He previously took an official visit to Louisville.
Maverick Rowan says he’s considering four schools, won’t specify which four (announced a final six recently). Visits St. John’s tomorrow.

According to Zach Brazier of the New York Post, there is a connection between Rowan and St. John’s.
Maverick Rowan’s father, Ron, and Chris Mullin played together. #sjubb made final six.

Rowan was interviewed by Scout, and he said that he was nowhere close to making a decision.
“It’s not going to be for a while,” he said. “Probably going to be towards the end of the summer.”
According to ZagsBlog, he is down to UCLA, St. John’s, Louisville and Wisconsin.
HOWEVER… we just talked with Maverick himself and he said that the report was false, and that NC State is actually in his Top-4. He said he might take an official visit, but might not because he already has taken an unofficial visit here.
Hey coach, we don’t need 2/3’s. We need 1, 4 or 5’s.
Big loss. From what I’ve seen he seems like kind of a d-bag. Best of luck wherever he ends up.
We ain’t gettin him. Doubt we are on his top four list.
