Valdes-Scantling Transfers to South Florida

Back in January news broke that NC State Wide Receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was no longer a member of the football team.  Yesterday it was announced that Valdes-Scantling would be transferring back to his home state of Florida (St. Petersburg), to play with the South Florida Bulls.  Valdes-Scantling recorded 22 catches in both his Freshman and Sophomore seasons, for a total of 538 yards.  South Florida is familiar to Valdes-Scantling because it’s close to home, but also because it was one the many schools that offered the standout out of Lakewood High School.  Valdes-Scantling will sit out the upcoming season due to transfer rules.
