Maverick Rowan Lists State in Top 4

Since early June, 4-star small forward Maverick Rowan’s list of schools has shrunk from a Top 6, to a Top 4, to a Top 3 back on June 30. NC State has found themselves on each of these lists. Yesterday, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reported that Rowan’s list was back up to a list of 4, and NC State was still on the list.

@jeffborzello: Top-30 prospect Maverick Rowan has a new top four: West Virginia, St. John’s, NC State, Louisville.

Last time a report came out that Rowan had a list of 4 schools, another media outlet reported that NC State was out, and Rowan messaged me and let me know that they were in fact still in the mix. Maverick, if you disagree with this Top-4, feel free to message me again:)

Here is a breakdown of the changes. Wisconsin is out. Louisville is back in. West Virginia has been added.

Yesterday the FayObserver ran an interview with Rowan, and according to the Pack target, he doesn’t think he has any more time for visits.

“I don’t think I’m going to take any more visits because I’m running out of time,” Rowan said. (FayObserver)

Rowan isn’t unfamiliar with NC State, having visited Raleigh on an unofficial previously. When we spoke to him last month, he didn’t even know if he needed to visit NC State because he was already familiar with it.

He is playing with E1T1 down at the Peach Jam currently. In the first game yesterday, he scored 21 points (5-13 FG) and grabbed 5 rebounds. In game two he struggled, scoring 3 points on 1 of 9 shooting.

Rowan is still on track to reclassify to the 2015 class.
