NC State baseball’s Trea Turner becomes the first Wolfpacker ever to suit up for the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game

NC State’s Trea Turner earned an invitation to the 2015 MLB All-Star Futures Game, held this Sunday, July 12 at 3 PM ET.

The Futures Game, a fixture at MLB All-Star Weekend since 1999, has never before featured a player from NC State. Turner will be the first.

The game will be aired live on MLB Network and MLB.com, with Matt Vasgersian, Heidi Watney, and NC State alum Dan Plesac on the call.

In addition, SiriusXM Radio will broadcast play-by-play coverage of the event live on MLB Network Radio (XM channel 89; Sirius channel 209). MLB.com will provide complete coverage before, during, and after the game.

On Twitter, @NCStateBaseball will cover the day from Trea’s perspective on Sunday to the best of our abilities. Fans can stay updated by following @FuturesGame, or using the hashtags #USDugout and #WorldDugout to communicate directly with players during the game.
