Turner Steals Show at Futures Game

The Washington Nationals must be confident in their long term security at the shortstop position, as they finally got their hands on Trea Turner a couple of weeks ago. Turner’s career was in some sort of weird limbo as he was traded as a player to be named this off-season involving the Padres and the Nationals, per MLB rules he could not join the Nationals until he had been with the Padres organization for a full year.

Turner proved to be an elite prospect at the futures game, going 2 for 2, including a two run double and an incredible triple that showcased Turner’s world class speed. Many NC State baseball fans can recall just how lethal Turner’s speed is as he stole 113 bases in his three year career. There is no doubt that Turner will be turning heads in DC at some point in the near future.
