Johnson also received an offer from Georgetown yesterday, and received one from UVA the day before. He picked up an offer from Virginia Tech earlier in July, and his first offer from Old Dominion back in June.
NC State has had a lot of success recruiting Team Loaded over the past couple of years. Tyler Lewis, Caleb Martin, Cody Martin, and Shaun Kirk all played with Team Loaded. Currently NC State’s two top targets in the 2016 recruiting class Dennis Smith Jr. and Edrice “Bam” Adebayo play with Team Loaded.
NC State already offered Johnson’s teammate David McCormack (Center) back in June at NC State camp.
Johnson broke the state of Virginia’s scoring record for a freshman last season, scored 40 points in a game, and averaged right under 27 points per game for Park View.
