Carlos Rodon Shuts Down Tribe For Sweep

Carlos Rodon pitched arguably his best start of the season this afternoon, helping the White Sox finish a 4-game road sweep of the Indians.  Rodon pitched 6.2 innings, which is the deepest he has gone in a game all year long.  He didn’t give up any runs, didn’t allow any walks, and struck out 9 batters.  This was only the second start of the year in which Rodon has not walked a batter.  The former NC State pitcher needed this one after giving up 7 earned runs in his first start after the All-Star break earlier this week.  Rodon now has a 4-3 record and a 4.09 ERA in his rookie season.
