A Wolfpack Maverick Rowan Update

Fans of NC State, St. John’s, West Virginia and Louisville are still waiting in anticipation for Small Forward Maverick Rowan’s final decision.

The most exciting thing (I’m using the word “exciting” loosely) that has happened since announcing this last list of teams took place 5 days ago when Rowan asked the Twitter world which number he should wear next year in college: 3, 12, or 24?  Later that day he announced that he would be wearing the #24 and that he would be making his decision soon.

Fans of each team started scouring their rosters to see if they had the #24 available, and yes Wolfpack fans, the #24 is available.

When NC State picked up transfer Torin Dorn and were actively recruiting Rowan, 2016 Small Forward Wolfpack target Christian Matthews told me that he was rethinking his options.  I spoke with Matthews this weekend, and he said someone had reached out to Team Takeover Head Coach Keith Stevens to tell him that Rowan wasn’t likely going to commit to NC State.

The truth of the matter is that Rowan’s camp is really quiet and I don’t think anyone, including the NC State coaches, truly knows what he is thinking at this point.  There are even rumors swirling that Rowan is leaning toward NC State now.  Consider me confused.
