Team Loaded Goes 2-0 on ESPNU

With the bright lights on and the TV cameras rolling, both 17U Team Loaded teams walked away with victories on ESPNU this afternoon and evening.

Team Loaded NC defeated Indiana Elite 78-77

2016 Point Guard Dennis Smith Jr. nearly dropped a triple-double with the world watching, with 29 points (12-22 FG), 10 rebounds and 8 assists.  Smith hit the game winning shot with 4 seconds left on the clock.

Smith Jr. averaged 18.3 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds at the Summer Championships in Vegas.

2016 Power Forward Bam Adebayo had a double-double with 25 points (10-18 FG) and 16 rebounds.  With a line like that we can forgive the 11 turnovers the big man had, right?

Adebayo averaged 14.6 points and 10.6 rebounds at the Summer Championships in Vegas.

ESPNU tweeted that NC State head coach Mark Gottfried was the only power 5 head coach sitting in the stands.

Team Loaded VA defeated Mass Rivals 76-74

2016 Power Forward Sacha Killeya-Jones led the Virginia Loaded squad to the Adidas Summer Championships with 17 points (7-10 FG).
