Andrew Parchment Talks NC State Offer

Yesterday NC State offered a scholarship to 2016 3-star (247) Wide Receiver Andrew Parchment.  He committed to Cincinnati back on May 20th, but that hasn’t stopped the Wolfpack and a few other schools from continuing to recruit him.  I caught up with Parchment last night to get his take on what the NC State offer means to him, and he says that it means a lot.

“The offer means a lot.  It’s one of my biggest offers,” said Parchment.  “Coach McDonald and I get a long great.  NC State has been recruiting me since the beginning of the Spring.  I love them a lot.”

He picked up a second offer yesterday from South Florida, and this one is a little closer to home, because Parchment plays for Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida.

“South Florida’s offer is another offer me and my family are excited about,” said Parchment. “We love Coach Dugan as a Wide Receivers coach.”

A lot of players want to stay close to home.  Others want to spread their wings and fly.  Parchment isn’t sure about what he wants at this point.

“Staying close to home is a plus, but I also see myself going out of state,” said Parchment. “It’s too early to tell at this point.”

Parchment told me that he is still a Cincinnati commit, but he is excited about the new opportunities coming his way.

“I’ve only visited 1 school.  It can’t hurt to see what’s out there,” said Parchment. “I plan on taking official visits to NC State and Cincinnati.  That’s all I have planned right now.  I’ll come out with my new Top 3 about midway through my season.”
