Bishop went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, but was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota Vikings. Bishop was then cut by the Vikings during the 2014 training camp. In January, the Falcons signed Bishop to their practice squad, but he was cut in May. The pickup of Bishop by the Eagles is rather ironic. On Friday the Eagles waived another former NC State safety, Earl Wolff, after he had another knee surgery on Thursday. Bishops steps in to filll the lack of depth that the exit of his former teammate created.
Wolff has handled being waived with extreme class, and this tweet might sum it up best.
Congrats to my bro @BBish30 for signing with the @Eagles ..we started all 4 years at NCState beside each other. Wish you the best
