The NC State Women’s Soccer team (3-2) defeated Oregon 2-0 last night at home, which happens to be the Wolfpack’s third straight shutout victory.  The last time that NC State won three consecutive shutouts was back in 2010.

Junior Alexa Allen was the star of the game, scoring both of the Wolfpack goals.  Allen has only taken 3 shots on goal this year, and all of them have ended up in the net.

Freshman Goalie Sydney Wooten picked up her second straight shutout, picking up 5 saves in 90 minutes of scoreless action.  In three games this season, Wooten has played 259:48 minutes in goal, and has yet to surrender a goal.

Freshman Taylor Porter and Senior Caroline Gentry each assisted Allen last night.

The Wolfpack women picked up their third win of 2015 last night, surpassing the win total of 2014 in the 5th game of the season.

NC State’s next game is against William & Mary on Sunday at home at 2pm.
