Carlos Rodon Picks Up 7th Win Against Indians

Former NC State pitcher Carlos Rodon’s blazing streak continued last night against the Cleveland Indians.  He pitched 7 innings of 1 run ball, striking out 8 batters, and only walking one.  All of that added up to him picking up his 7th win of the season.  Rodon is easily one of the hottest pitchers in baseball at the close of the Major League season.  He has pitched 6 straight quality starts, and over that stretch his ERA is 1.76.  In fact, over the last 41 innings (6 starts) Rodon has lowered his ERA from 5.00, to 3.94.  Rodon’s 132 strikeouts ranks 2nd amongst MLB rookies.

Rodon’s next scheduled start should be against the Oakland A’s next Tuesday.
