Andy Katz: Why Not NC State?

ESPN’s Andy Katz posted a video today, and one of the things he highlighted was his belief that NC State is not getting its due.  Here’s what he had to say:

“NC State is not getting its due.  They might in terms of recruiting, because Mark Gottfried went in a helicopter to go meet with Dennis Smith, and ultimately got him.  But the fact that the Wolfpack have been consistent under Mark Gottfried…Four straight NCAA Tournament appearances under Gottfried, two Sweet Sixteens, and yet when we discuss the ACC, most often we mention Duke, UNC, now Virginia, obviously Louisville and Syracuse, and maybe a little Notre Dame mixed in there, but what about NC State?  The Wolfpack under Mark Gottfried have been consistent winners.  At times it’s hard for them to get to that point, but once they get there, they’re certainly an entertaining watch, and Gottfried certainly believes, in communicating with him, that his team could once again be a team that could compete at the top of the ACC.  (ESPN)
