Here is the FULL VIDEO of NC State head coach Dave Doeren’s time with the media after practice today, his final time talking before the Old Dominion game.

Quotes

Alex Barr has not been able to practice. It will be a game day deal. Obviously he has practiced for four years. So it’s not as big of a deal as if you were a younger player. He is getting better every day.

We feel like we’ve proven that we can play well on the road. We have done it repetitively. We played some of our best football on the road last year. The team looks like they have that kind of focus, so hopefully they do the same thing.

Bryce Kennedy had a great week of practice. If Alex can’t play on Saturday, Bryce is ready. He will do a tremendous job if that is what we have to do

Regardless of who the #1 is, Kentavius Street & Justin Jones take equal reps in practice because they rotate in the game. We do that with our nose tackles as well. You will see a lot of guys play. Kentavius has picked up his energy level for sure. He wants to be the guy that is in first. The competition is very healthy.

Mike Stevens is playing with a lot of confidence. He’s grown up a lot. I’m very proud of him. He’s increased his ability to be consistent because of his approach. Coming from a smaller high school I think he was able to get away with a lot more things athletically. Now he understands if he does things, he can play consistently, and he’s done that.

Last week Eastern Kentucky’s linebacker said in their press conference that he was going to “punch us in the mouth and make us tap out.” I thought our players would like to know that. Not very smart on their end. He’s the one that got all the penalties on their defense. I played it for the team and had our scout team talk junk to our offense all week.

I expect to have quite a few Wolfpack fans there and the parents of quite a few players will be able to make the trip.

Being able to have two fields with turf like this gives the offense and the defense the ability to work the whole field, and not feel like you are about to run into one another
