NC State Watches Ikechukwu Obiagu
Earlier this week the NC State coaches were in to see 7’0″ 2017 consensus 5-star Center Ikechukwu Obiagu.
Connecticut & Mississippi State are the most recent offers for Ike Obiagu. N.C. State & Auburn were in to see him earlier this week.

Obiagu is the #10 player in the class according to ESPN, Scout and 247 rate him #11, and Rivals ranks 15th overall. He is the #1 Center in the 2017 class according to 247. At this point it doesn’t look like the Wolfpack have offered him, but he does hold offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Purdue, SMU, and Vanderbilt.
Obiagu plays for Greenforest Mccalep Christian Academy in Decatur, Georgia. He is from Nigeria, and moved here as a 9th grader. Volleyball was his first love, not basketball. Both involve a ball where you can jump up in the air and spike it, and Obiagu has applied the same technique to blocking all of his opponents shots.
Here is a video of him battling Zach Brown, who is another 7’0″ 5-star prospect in the 2017 class, and another Wolfpack target as well.
