BIG Visitors at NC State Tailgate Tipoff

While the NC State Men’s Basketball team will be having an intrasquad scrimmage at the Tailgate Tipoff this Saturday at 10:45am, the bigger story is which recruits will be there to watch the game.

As we have expected for quite awhile, 5-star 2016 Power Forward Bam Adebayo will be in attendance.

2016 5-star Shooting Guard Rawle Alkins has emerged as the Wolfpack’s biggest target in 2016 besides Adebayo, and he will also be in attendance.  Since he transferred to Word of God Academy, he doesn’t have to fly down from Brooklyn anymore.  He just has to drive down the road.

2016 5-Star Center Udoka Azubuike will also be in attendance.  When Dennis Smith Jr. committed to run with the Wolfpack, he mentioned Azubuike as one of the players that he would love to play with.

Back on September 11th the NC State coaches went up to Oak Hill Academy to watch 2017 Guard Devontae Shuler, and they left him with a scholarship offer.

Last week the Wolfpack coaches were back up at Oak Hill Academy to visit 2017 5-star Point Guard Matt Coleman.

2017 4-star Power Forward Derek Culver (6’9″) out of Ohio will also be in attendance this weekend.  NC State was in to see him this past weekend and offered him a scholarship.  It was his first ACC offer.

2019 Shooting Guard Wendell Moore confirmed with me that he will be in attendance on Saturday.  Also, 2019 Power Forward Joey Baker, out of Trinity Christian with Dennis Smith Jr., will also be in attendance.

To say that this weekend is a big deal for the future of NC State basketball would be a massive understatement.
