Dave Doeren Ranks 49th in Salary

USAToday ran a piece today on the salaries of all 128 college football head coaches in the NCAA.  NC State’s head coach Dave Doeren will earn $2.2 million dollars this year, with the possibility to pick up another $1.75 million in bonuses.  He earned $100,000 in bonuses last season.  Doeren’s salary ranks 49th overall, and 9th in the ACC.

Jimbo Fisher is the only ACC coach ranked in the Top 25 (5th), with Dabo Swinney knocking on the door at 26th.  Nine of the ACC coaches ranked in the Top 50.

Steve Addazio – Boston College – $2.58 million (41st)
Al Golden – Miami – $2.54 million (42nd)

This is the worst offensive I have ever seen.  Can’t throw, only run jet sweeps.  No way to win tonight against VT.

I’ve been patient with Doeren because let’s be honest his predecessor left the cupboard bare. And I like that he’s re-invented Wolfpack football by bringing back the running game. But having said that, I don’t want to see another weak-ass schedule like the last 3 seasons ever again. I mean one of those games a season is enough but 4?  He’s now had 3 recruiting cycles and needs to get his boys ready for the ACC with power 5 opponents.
