NC State Defeats #14 South Carolina

NC State has quietly had a great season on the pitch as they have posted a 7-2-3 record thus far, with a #20 ranking.  Most recently the Wolfpack knocked off the 14th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks at Dail Park last night.  NC State’s Ryan Peterson converted the equalizer, but it was Zach Knudson who provided the game winning goal with a run through traffic in the 87th minute.  Knudson has been stellar all season as he leads the Pack with 5 goals and has 12 points on the season.

The Wolfpack will look to improve their record once again this Friday as they travel to Durham to face the Blue Devils.  Duke is currently ranked 38th, but the Pack have struggled on the road this season as they have a 1-2-1 mark in road games this season.  Hopefully Head Coach Kelly Findley can refocus the team and prepare them to move past the big win versus South Carolina.
