NC State vs. Wake Forest Depth Chart

Here is NC State’s Depth Chart for this Saturday’s matchup against Wake Forest.

Notes:

-Sophomore Shawn Boone OR Redshirt Sophomore Josh Jones will start at Strong Safety. Jones has started every game for the Pack, but it is worth noting that Boone’s name is listed 1st. The coaches have had more time than normal to watch film, and I’m guessing they saw that Jones has been a significant part of NC State’s problems in their pass defense. Jones might be second on the team in tackles, but a lot of those tackles would have never happened if he was playing closer to his receiver and reacted quicker.

-Redshirt Sophomore Jerod Fernandez OR Redshirt Junior M.J. Salahuddin will start at Middle Linebacker. Heading into last season Salahuddin was the starter before he tore his ACL. Moore has stood out much more than Fernandez, and it looks like Salahuddin is fighting to get his spot back.
