NC State NBA Preseason Update

Here is a look at how the former NC State basketball players have done in the NBA Preseason since our last update.

Lorenzo Brown:

In the T-Wolves last game Brown played for a total of 8 minutes and finished 0-1 from the field, but added two steals on the night.  Despite playing his most minutes since October 12th, Lorenzo wasn’t able to capitalize, but he hasn’t been put in a great situation to succeed.  It is hard for a player to find a groove when minutes are so inconsistent, and the preseason just adds to the difficulty as Brown finds himself playing with guys who he has no chemistry with.  The Wolves have one more preseason game remaining as they play the Milwaukee Bucks tonight.  It may be Brown’s last chance with the T-Wolves, but he should have plenty of suitors vying for his services, as he has proven he is a steady backup point guard.

JJ Hickson:

After a DNP, Hickson saw 13 minutes versus the Utah Jazz as the Nuggets lost 98-78.  In the game JJ finished with 2 points and 1 rebound.  It will most likely be a long season for the Nuggets as they find themselves in the same division as the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Trailblazers.  Hickson will find time filling spot minutes here and there as games dictate.  It should be noted that Hickson has had a great career in the NBA as he is entering his 8th season.

TJ Warren:

In the last two games TJ has been fantastic for the Suns.  In his game against the San Antonio Spurs he had 15 points (7-14 FG), 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and was a +21.  Not to be out done, he followed up this performance with another great outing as he had 14 points (5-12 FG), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and was a +3 versus the Dallas Mavericks.  It is no secret that TJ has been turning heads this summer and throughout the preseason.  It will be difficult for the Suns not to have TJ Warren on the floor once the season starts.

Here are the highlights from his last two games:
