CBS‘ 7 College Basketball experts have turned in their preseason ACC rankings, and they ranked NC State 6th in the conference heading into the season. Here is what they had to say about the Wolfpack.
Cat Barber should have a great season and could be one of the best point guards in the league by the end of the year. With two Sweet 16s in the past four years, Mark Gottfried has established an expectation of postseason appearances and this team should be able to be right back in the mix. Whether the Wolfpack can reach the expectations that were set before Trevor Lacey went pro lies on the interior, where Abdul-Malik Abu looks to build on a productive freshman season and vets BeeJay Anya and Lennard Freeman hope to turn flashes of potential into a consistent 2015-16 campaign.
