NC State NBA Update

NC State currently has two players, T.J. Waren and J.J. Hickson, representing them in the NBA.  Here is an update on how they have done recently.

J.J. Hickson had a really slow start to the 2015-16 NBA season.  He didn’t play at all in the Nuggets first two games, and then he finally saw the court for a measley 3 minutes on Sunday against the Thunder. Last night, Hickson actually started in place of the injured Joffrey Lauvergne, and he tooke full advantage of the opportunity.  Hickson had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in the Nuggets 120-109 victory over the Lakers (25 minutes).  The most impressive aspect of Hickson’s stat line was the fact that he hit 8 of his 9 shots.  Hickson and the Nuggets will play the Jazz on the road tomorrow night.

T.J. Warren had his worst outing of the young season on Saturday against the Trailblazers.  In 19 minutes, he scored 0 points (0-6) and 3 fouls.  The Suns forward bounced back on Monday night, picking up 11 points (5-11) and 5 rebounds in the Suns 102-96 loss to the Clippers.  Warren is now averaging 9.3 points and 4 rebounds through 4 games this season.  The Suns will face off against the Kings tonight on the Road at 10pm.
