Wolfpack Must Stop John Brown

NC State big men better be up for the task of putting a body on athletic forward John Brown. The red-shirt senior is a human highlight reel as he is known as one of the best dunker’s in college basketball. Do not be fooled though as he is more than just a dunker as he is averaging 20.2 points per game this season. He has also been named First Team Big-South 3 consecutive times, only the fifth player to accomplish such a feat.

It will be up to Anya, Abu, and Freeman to knock Brown off his game. Each one of these guys can give Brown a different look, but one thing is key, State must be physical with Brown. If the bouncy senior is given freedom he will embarrass State tonight. Every time a shot goes up someone will have to find Brown and box him out, as you will see in the coming highlights Brown doesn’t get out leaped all too often.

Hopefully the Pack are up to the challenge of slowing Brown down. In my opinion the best way to stop high energy guys like Brown is to not allow them the type of plays that fuel them. That means fouling him hard as he is going up and not giving him easy put backs and alley’s. Another thing that State must do is run the floor as Brown likes to get ahead of the break to get easy baskets. NC State big men better have their track shoes tonight as Brown runs the floor as good as anyone in the country.
