Preview: NCSU vs FSU

NC State will look to gain another quality win tonight as they face the Seminoles of Florida State. It will take a team effort to escape Tallahassee with a victory. This season Cat Barber has been stellar, in fact if he keeps up his current averages it could be historic. If Barber can finish the season strongly he could be the second player in ACC history to average at least 23 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 4.6 apg. The only other player was Kenny Anderson in 1990.

The Wolfpack will need another solid defensive effort to contain Malik Beasley (20 points vs Pack last game), Devon Bookert (18 points vs Pack last game), and Xavier Rathan-Mayes (11 points vs Pack last game). If State can rebound as they did this past Saturday then they should have success tonight. NC State’s defense must limit second chances and easy three pointers off of offensive rebounds, as well as three pointers.

Look for NC State to gain another win tonight. I see the Wolfpack coming out and playing a hard fought game, with Cat and Abu prove to be too much for the Seminoles. One thing that scares me is the success that FSU has at home. The Wolfpack have always found it hard to win in Tallahassee, it could come down to the charity stripe, and hopefully the Pack have the touch once more tonight as they did Saturday. Can the Pack capture back to back wins? Tune into ESPNU at 9 o’clock to catch all of the action.
