Spring Practice: Offensive Linemen

Published

on

NC State will need to get the absolute most out of its’ offensive line this season in order to utilize their skill position players. It is a question mark coming into the season as they lost two vital parts in Joe Thuney and Quinton Schooley, both were three year starters upfront. New Offensive Coordinator Eli Drinkwitz and Offensive Line Coach Dewayne Ledford must use the spring to find out who will replace these two. In the video below it showcases the O-Line and the drills they are using to prepare for the upcoming season. By the looks of it there is no holding back as they are full contact. Ledford was a center in the NFL and will need to call upon all of his experience to get the most out of this position group, the fate of the season could be in their hands.

If the offensive line comes together and plays well, then State have the weapons capable of making the most of the holes provided. NC State returns their top four running backs, and add in Johnny Fraiser who should contribute immediately. Then factor in that the Pack will have an inexperienced QB at the helm which will put even more pressure on the linemen to perform well.
