Cat Barber signs with the 76ers

The 76ers have signed rookie guard Anthony ‘Cat’ Barber.

Cat Barber was inked by the 76ers yesterday. Congrats to an amazing point guard who worked hard and went through a lot of ups and downs to get to this point. We also need to give props to Mark Gottfried who continues to put players into the NBA. The more guys he puts in the easier recruiting gets and he knows that. Barber was a true talent and was exciting to watch and we’ll try to keep Pack fans updated on his situation once he gets to Philly.

We’ve been told that the rumor in Philly is that Allen Iverson may have played a role in this signing. Both Barber and AI are from the same town and Barber was the one who broke Iverson’s Newport News scoring record as a senior.
