This time of year can always be extremely stressful for an NFL player, because many of them are battling it out for a roster spot. Unfortunately, quite a few former NC State football players have been released from their teams this offseason.

Yesterday, the Buffalo Bills cut projected starter at linebacker Manny Lawson. Some have reported that Lawson was cut due to a looming one-game suspension. Lawson has played for the 49ers, Bengals, and Bills over the past 10 seasons, accumulating 352 tackles and 24.5 sacks. Don’t count Lawson out in finding another team.

Defensive End Mike Rose went undrafted this summer, but signed on with the Giants after the draft. He was released on August 30th.

Back at the beginning of August, Center Quinton Schooley, who went undrafted this summer, was waived with an injury settlement after getting injured on the first day of practice with the Steelers.

Back in May, Tight End David Grinnage, who went undrafted this summer, was waived with an injury settlement after injuring his hamstring in rookie orientation.

This past week Safety Earl Wolff was waived with an injury designation by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wolff played two seasons with the Eagles starting in 7 games.

Two weeks ago Wide Receiver T.J. Graham was released by the Philadelphia Eagles. Graham has played for the Bills, Jets, Titans, and Saints over his 4-year career accumulating 61 receptions for 794 yards.

Offensive Lineman Rob Crisp was released by the Arizona Cardinals. Crisp never actually took a snap in the NFL.

Earl in August Wide Reciver Tobais Palmer was released by the Carolina Panthers. Palmer saw action in one game for the Jaguars back in 2013.
