Last night at midnight a new recruiting period opened up and the NC State coaches hit the ground running. According to our sources, the entire Wolfpack coaching staff will be heading to Mississsippi, Indiana, and Louisiana today. At this point, we are hearing these three players are at the top of the Wolfpack coaching staff’s wish list, hence pulling off visiting three prospects…in three states…with the whole staff…in one day.

They are visiting 5-star (Scout) point guard Nick Weatherspoon (6’2″/170) down in Mississippi. We reported yesterday that Nick Weatherspoon will be taking an official visit to Raleigh on the weekend of September 30th. Weatherspoon already unofficially visited back in June. The NC State coaching staff offered a scholarship to Weatherspoon back in April after his standout weekend at Adidas Uprising in Atlanta. He is the #5 point guard in the 2017 class. Weatherspoon narrowed his list to 10 schools back on June 30th: Memphis, LSU, Iowa State, UNC, Louisville, Mississippi State, Ohio State, NC State, Indiana & Georgetown

They are also visiting 5-star small forward Brian Bowen (6’7″/175) up in Indiana. The Wolfpack has been recruiting Bowen since the summer of 2013. Back in August, Bowen trimmed his list to 12 and here is who made the cut: Arizona, Creighton, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, MSU, NC State, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, and UNLV. Bowen is the #13 player in the 2017 class according to ESPN, and the #5 small forward.

Finally, they are heading down to Louisiana to visit consensus 4-star shooting guard Josh Anderson (6’4″/174), who Rivals ranks as the #43 overall player in 2017. The Wolfpack staff actively watched Anderson this summer when he played with Louisiana Elite, and he unofficially visited NC State back in July. Anderson also holds offers from Baylor, Florida, LSU and others.
