Nyheim Hines Out vs. Old Dominion

The News & Observer’s Joe Giglio is reporting this morning that NC State Wide Receiver and Kickoff Returner Nyheim Hines will not play tomorrow in the Wolfpack’s matchup against Old Dominion.

Hines injured his ankle during the East Carolina game, but played through the pain the rest of the game. Doeren said this week that he probably shouldn’t have been returning the kick that he bobbled near the end of the game, that gave the Wolfpack terrible field position on the final drive.

With a bye week next, it makes sense to let Hines get back to full strength for ACC play. Hines is tied with Bra’Lon Cherry with 7 receptions, to lead all Wolfpack wide receivers. With him out, look for Stephen Louis, Kelvin Harmon, and Maurice Trowell to get more looks.
