Former NC State quarterback Jacoby Brissett entered the season understanding his role. He was the third string quarterback. While Tom Brady served his suspension, he would be the backup to Jimmy Garoppolo. Last week, and through two quarters this week, Garoppolo looked like a star. Unfortunately, Garoppolo went down with a broken collarbone injury in the second quarter of the Patriots game against the Dolphins this afternoon.

Enter 3rd round draft pick Jacoby Brissett.

Brissett was 6 of 9 for 92 yards, and was able to help fend off a Dolphins comeback, securing a 31-24 victory. Two of Brissett’s incompletions were dropped passes by Julian Edelman. Also, on two occasions former NC State defensive end Mario Williams almost brought down Brissett for a sack in the backfield, but the former Wolfpack signal caller was able to dodge him on both ocassions. At the end of the game, Brissett kept the ball on a QB sneak to give the Patriots a first down, and ultimately the victory.

You can watch every single pass attempt by Brissett here.
