Trea Turner is Absolutely Crushing the Ball

Published

on

Former NC State shortstop Trea Turner is absolutely crushing the ball for the Nationals. Last night, he clubbed his 12th home run 400 feet. Eight of his 12 home runs have flown for over 400 feet. Not exactly what anyone expected from the 185 pound infielder, converted to center fielder. He hit only 19 home runs in 1,192 minor league at-bats, and has exploded to hit 12 home runs in 269 major league at bats this season. Turner’s home runs have travelled an average distance of 407.7 feet.

Turner is currently batting .342. If he finishes the season above .330, he will be only the second rookie since 1894 to bat above that number, with over 10 home runs and 20 stolen bases.

Keep bashing Trea.
