Jacoby Brissett Leads Pats to W in 1st NFL Start

Former NC State quarterback Jacoby Brissett led the Patriots to a 27-0 victory in his first career NFL start last night. He completed 11 of his 19 passes for 103 yards, and also rushed 8 times for 48 yards and a touchdown. The highlight of the night for Brissett was definitely this 27-yard touchdown run.

Brissett’s 27-yard touchdown run was the longest touchdown run by a Patriots quarterback since 1976 (Steve Grogan).

He wasn’t asked to do anything special last night. Brissett was asked to take care of the ball and move the chains, and he did just that.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was impressed with what the former Wolfpack standout did in his first start.

“I think he handled himself great,” Belichick said of Brissett. “Last week, this week, all week, every day. He’s done nothing but come in here and work as hard as he possibly can. He’s just a hard-working kid that’s really dedicated to doing what’s right for the team.” (Patriots.com)

Here’s a look at all of Brissett’s pass attempts from last night.
