Trea Turner Wins Back-to-Back Rookie of the Month Honors

Former NC State shortstop Trea Turner was named the National League Rookie of the Month for the second straight month.

The 23-year-old Turner hit .339/.380/.612 with eight home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 29 games in the season’s final month-plus to help lead the Nationals to the NL East title.
Turner produced 13 multi-hit games, including one four-hit and three three-hit performances while in center for the Nationals, who open the NL Division Series on Friday at Nationals Park against the Dodgers. (Nationals)
