Gottfried to watch workout of 2020 Raleigh Standout McCorkle

First it was interest, then it was a visit, now it’s NC State’s head coach taking time out of his busy schedule to watch 2020 shooting guard Carson McCorkle train with professional trainer Mark Adams out of Cary, NC. Did we mention this was all in the span of three days?

Again, I’ll reiterate that Carson has yet to play a high school game and is just a freshman at Broughton High. The reason you should care about that fact is because it’s rare that Gottfried himself would be taking time with the season right around the corner to recruit someone who is so young. It means that NC State is not only very serious about McCorkle, but that they want in before the other big dogs start finding out about him.

Will this lead to an offer? It might. Iowa and Georgia Tech were first to offer McCorkle and word is that Duke is also in on this, hosting him on campus next week.

We’ll be keeping a very close eye on this situation as it unfolds.
