Cat Barber made his preseason debut for the 76ers last night against Memphis after sitting out a few with a sore wrist.

Barber, an undrafted free agent, really needs to set himself apart if he wants to break camp with Philly. On this night he played pretty well, finishing with 7 points on 3-8 shooting, 3 assists, 3 rebounds and a turnover in 13 minutes.

“I could have played a little better,” said Barber to Philly.com “But you know with just coming off the injury on my shooting hard, it’s been a little tight. But, overall, I think I did better that what I expected.”

Cat Barber is battling with TJ McConnell for the reserve point guard role. Whoever plays better this preseason will likely earn a spot on the roster. In 22 minutes vs Memphis, McConnell scored 9 points on 3-5 shooting, 5 assists, 2 boards and 3 turnovers.
