NBA Scouts “Rave” about Wolfpack Talent

Here is the tweet from ESPN’s Jeff Goodman about this NC State Team:

That’s some exciting news coming from NBA scouts, and it looks like we will finally be getting a little respect from a national media (power) ranking. Here is the full blurb.

I’ve talked to multiple NBA guys who have raved about N.C. State’s overall talent. It’s why I’ll have them firmly in my Preseason Power Rankings — despite some concerns about Gottfried. Dennis Smith has looked phenomenal to everyone who has been through Raleigh — and the ball shouldn’t stick nearly as much with him running the show as it did with Cat Barber. Smith should be a clear-cut lottery pick — if he stays healthy. Skilled 7-footer Omer Yurtseven (possible first-rounder) still isn’t cleared, but staff is confident he’ll only miss a few games. Keys are a healthy Terry Henderson and addition of Charlotte transfer Torin Dorn. No glaring holes with this team. Athletic, have size, experience, depth, terrific PG. N.C. State has Top 10 overall talent.

This should also be one for Mark Gottfried’s personal bulletin board, as  Goodman’s main concern with all this talent is Gott’s ability to coach them up and mesh as a unit.

As we have said before, this team is loaded with talent, and people are starting to recognize it. It should be an exciting year with a little more national attention than we’re used to.

We need to ask Roy Williams when our big guys are going to be cleared. He has the NCAA in his pocket so much that all allegations will be dropped soon against the Cheaters.

Reading this just got me straight moist for the upcoming basketball season. I don’t think we have had a roster with this much potential in a long time!!
