Wayne Gallman Calls For Retaliation Against NC State

Published

In the NC State vs. Clemson game on October 15th, the Wolfpack’s Dravious Wright put a hit on Clemson’s star running back Wayne Gallman that caused him to lose the football and conscienceness. It’s evident that Gallman’s not over the hit by Wright, becuase he called it “dirty” and wished someone would have retaliated baseball style.

“I wanted somebody to hurt him that was in the game if they could,” Gallman said. “I wasn’t able to be in it.” (Link)

Wright was not issued a flag for targeting in the game, and it looks to me like he was making a play on the ball.

The next time that these two meet, the tension might be at a higher level. Gallman publicly told the media that he wished there would have been retaliation. The Tigers might be out for revenge, and the Wolfpack might not appreciate that.

Coach Dave shouldn’t have said that a positive for the game was “knocking their tailback out” in his presser in all fairness. Gallman’s statement is bad, but I’ll let you decide as to which is a poorer showing.
