Dennis Smith Jr Preseason ACC Freshman of the Year

ACC Media Day was today, and NC State point guard Dennis Smith Jr was picked to be the ACC Freshman of the Year, and was also picked to the preseason All-ACC 1st Team.

Hawkeye Whitney is the only player in NC State history to actually go on and win the honor of ACC Freshman of the Year. Cat Barber earned 1st Team All-ACC honors last year for the Wolfpack, but no freshman in NC State history has ever earned 1st Team All-ACC honors.
