NC State Breaks Losing Streak, Beats Syracuse 35-20

Published

NC State needed a win and that’s just what they got, beating The Orange 35-20.

Ryan Finley went for 340yds and a touchdown, while Matt Dayes was dominant, running for 108 yds and 3 TDs.

Syracuse was without their starting QB, and the Pack made fill-in Zach Mahoney pay. The State defense held Mahoney to 190yds passing on a pedestrian 13-24 with a pick.

The Wolfpack is now 5-5 on the season and need to win one of the next two to stay bowl eligible. That might not be so easy with tilts with Miami and UNC on the horizon.

I still say we need a coaching change. In 4 years the guy has zero marquee wins. He’s improved recruiting but the results are worse than his predecessor.
