NC State Still has Time

Sunday’s game is over. Now NC State finds itself with 15 games left with a favorable four game stretch that includes three home games. Wednesday the Wolfpack travel to BC who was picked to finish at the bottom of the ACC. It is the perfect place to let some frustration out and an opportunity to have energy on the road!

NC State has the ability to bounce back. They have talent and have showed flashes of being a complete team. I also trust that the players are a close knitted bunch that believe in each other. They see that their backs are against the wall and this adversity could bring them even closer together.

Big picture NC State stands 1-2 in the ACC with 15 games remaining. If they can rip off four straight wins against BC, GT, Pittsburgh, and Wake Forest they will be 5-2 going into back to back road games against Duke and Louisville. 5-2 doesn’t sound bad. Mark Gottfried and company have plenty of film to show his guys to light a fire under each player. They will have lots of fodder to demand more and coach them extremely hard.

Gottfried and his staff have lots of experience and they have lots of games in front of them. It is not productive to throw in the towel at this point and write this group off. They need our support. They need the PNC packed each night. We have all witnessed how an enthusiastic crowd can fuel a team to success. NC State fans can give the Wolfpack an added edge each home game that our team needs!

Do your best to hold judgement until the conclusion of the season. This team is still figuring themselves out. The time is now though as they need to make a push these next four games. These four games can put the Pack in a positive position heading into a difficult back to back stretch of road games at Duke and Louisville. There is only one way to go and that is forward. We will have more upcoming on the Boston College game in the coming days.

Nope. Time has run out for this team. Gott is gone at the end of the season if not sooner. Team is too young to play in the ACC this year.

Sure we have x number of games left. But we still will have the same coach and the same attitude. A player’s coach does not work with snowflakes. They need to be bullied and threaten to do the right thing. I was there when Norm Sloan bullied the best basketball team in the nation. That’s why they didn’t give up and lose to UCLA. They were toughened by a tough coach.
