VIDEO: Gottfried Irate as NC State falls to GT 86-76

Freshman Josh Okogie scored 27 points and the Jackets had 5 players in double figures against the Wolfpack.

For NC State, Dennis Smith led the way with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. After that it was Mav Rowan with 17pts, and that’s about it for NC State.

The story, however, wasn’t about the offense (which was still hard to watch on the NC State side), it was the defense. NC State’s defensive effort was pitiful and unacceptable for college level athletes. Georgia Tech shot 50% from the floor and 62% from beyond the arc. While you don’t want to take anything away from the Yello Jackets, it was hard not to notice the open looks they were getting.
