Ricky Person announced Wednesday night that he would commit to the Wolfpack! Ricky had some great things to say about his recruitment in an article posted by Jon Stout of High School OT.

“I’ve always loved State anyways; they’ve been recruiting me for two years,” Person said. “They’re like family to me anyway because I also have family that goes to State.”

Person has discussed playing running back or slot receiver with NC State recruiting coordinator and running backs coach Des Kitchings during his recruitment, but said he wants to do whatever it takes to get on the field – no matter the position.

“It doesn’t matter to me, as long as I’m on the field and doing what I love,” he said. “I love to run the ball, I love to catch the ball; I love to hit people – I like to do everything.” High School OT

Ricky transferred from Franklinton High School after his sophomore season to Heritage High in Wake Forest. In his junior campaign, he rushed for 774 yards, 11 touchdowns, on 145 carries. Defensively he recorded 17 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

NC State will welcome his versatility and willingness to fit in any way he can to help the Pack win! Check out his highlights below! Welcome to the Pack Ricky!
