NC State leads for 2018 4-star Alim McNeill

Alim McNeill, a 2018 4 star defensive tackle out of Raleigh, is expected to make his decision in a month or two and NC State is sitting pretty at the moment.

McNeill holds offers from NC State, Florida State, UNC, and Penn State (among others), but in his recent interview with High School OT he said that NC State is sitting atop his list.

“The people at State are great guys; I love what they are building there, [and] the culture is great,” McNeill said. “Proximity is a factor as well. Everything in a college I was looking for, they have it, education wise especially.”

“I really love State a lot. I’ve grown a great relationship with the guys there.”

McNeill also likes that his best friend Trent Pennix will be at NC State as well. Pennix, a 2018 3-star RB, committed to State in June and has been doing his best to get McNeill to join him. It seems to be working.

Also adding fuel to the fire was the tweet McNeill sent out last week. Right after Derrick Eason committed to NC State, McNeill sent this.
