Former NC State S Earl Wolff Released

Former NC State Safety Earl Wolff was released by the Washington Redskins today.

This is unfortunate news for Wolff.

Wolff was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 5th round in the 2013 NFL draft. He started 6 games during his rookie season, but injured his knee the following year and was placed on injured reserve, resulting in microfracture surgery. He spent time on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad in 2015, and was signed to a reserve/future deal. The knee injury again landed him on injured reserve, and he has not played in an NFL since the 2014 season.
