Will Bradley Chubb Break The NC State Record Book?

NC State Defensive End Bradley Chubb could be playing in the NFL season this year, but he opted to return for his final season at NC State. Chubb is almost a lock to be a first round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and he’s also a lock to break open the NC State record book before this years over.

Chubb enters this season with 16.5 career sacks, which ranks 10th all-time in NC State history. As a Junior, Chubb collected 10.5 sacks (the third highest total by a Wolfpacker in a single season). If he were to post another 10 sack season in 2017, he would pass Mario Williams (25.5 career sacks), and become NC State’s all-time sack leader.

He also has 34 career tackles for loss, which ranks 12th all-time in school history. Last season, Chubb posted a gaudy 22 tackles for loss, which marks the 2nd highest singles season total in NC State history. If he were to miracously reproduce that insane number again as a Senior, he would finish half a tackle for loss ahead of Mario Williams, becoming the all-time leader at NC State in tackles for loss.
